Gardens

Garden design was part of forming the uniform facade of the Napraforgó street experimental housing estate. László Solti garden constructor designed and built the gardens. Several employees worked in his office. The firm took over larger works, as well, and had its own machines. Nearly each year Solti entered horticulture or flower exhibitions where he regularly received first prize. He was the acting vice president of the National Hungarian Horticultural Association in 1933, then became the vice president of the organization. During the 2nd World War he emigrated to Canada where he founded the Solty Garden Centre firm in 1951.

Similar trees and bushes were planted in many Napraforgó street gardens, some of which are still living. Such plants are the mulberry tree (Napraforgó street 17. and 18.), the peony (Paeonia suffruticosa) (Napraforgó street 16. and 17.). Boxwood and privet were readily used for hedges.
